HUGE Double 20" Vintage White Benjamin Porcelain Enamel Light
This all original vintage light fixture consists of 2 large Benjamin porcelain enamel shades, each with a 20" diameter. All exposed metal of this fixture, including the spreader bar, necks of both lights, and conduit have been sealed with polyurethane to provide rust-free protection. The sockets were disassembled, cleaned, and professionally rewired for safe use. They have a mogul style (one size larger than standard) socket that is rated at 1500 watts and 600 volts. That's a lot of light! I will be including a socket adapter for each light that allows the buyer to use any standard base household bulb of any wattage desired (including all fluorescent or LED lights available today). This light also allows for high wattage flood lights if a large amount of lumens is desired for your lighting application. The photo with the soda can should show some perspective, given the socket and shade holders alone are larger.
These fixtures would be perfect over a table, kitchen island, workbench, warehouse, etc.
The setup you see here is the exact way they hung before they were removed from high inside the ceiling of the Missouri Pacific Railroad General Locomotive and Rail Car Repair Shop in central Missouri (later became Union Pacific Railroad. See last photo). The building was constructed in 1904, and for years was the largest railroad locomotive and car repair shop west of the Mississippi River (See Photos of historic building).
Total drop height is 32" (this dimension can be customized to any length)
Total width of entire fixture is 42"
Individual shade diameter is 20"
I can customize the fixture in several ways, please call or message for pricing of upgrades (some mild upgrades are complimentary/included)
I can adjust the drop height shorter or longer depending on your needs.
A swivel mount can be added for self leveling or aesthetics (Benjamin brand available)
We also sell these lights individually (single light setup) without the double hanging fixture and arm
They also come in the color more conventional for porcelain lights, GREEN, which I have many more of. See next to last photo and my eBay store for the listing of this same light in green
Please note. As these shades are authentic vintage lights with many years of age, they will show some minor wear and have some dings hear and there consistent with several decades of use. If this is a concern I can send detailed photos of the exact light set(s) you will be purchasing.
